Private AI image generator: what "private" should actually mean
Many AI image generators call themselves private. Here is a plain checklist of what privacy should mean for your prompts and images, the questions to ask any service, and how Souna AI answers them.
"Private" is one of the most used and least defined words in AI. Some services show every image you generate in a public feed. Some reserve the right to use your prompts to train future models. Some do neither, but keep everything forever. All of them might call themselves private.
Here is a practical way to judge.
Five questions to ask any AI image generator
1. Is there a public gallery?
Many image tools are social by design: your creations appear on an explore page or a community feed, sometimes by default, sometimes unless you pay for a "stealth" option. If your drafts include client work, personal ideas or anything you would not post yourself, a public gallery is a deal breaker.
2. Are my prompts and images used for training?
Look for a clear yes or no in the terms or privacy policy, not a vague "to improve our services". Training on user content is common, and it is your work feeding someone else's model.
3. Who can see my work inside the company?
Every service keeps some records to stay safe and lawful. What matters is that the purpose is stated and narrow, not "any business purpose".
4. Can I delete it, really?
You should be able to delete a single image and your whole account yourself, without emailing support and waiting.
5. How is it paid for?
If a service is free, it is paid for somehow: ads, data, or investors who will want a return. A paid plan does not guarantee privacy, but it removes the main reason to trade on your data.
How Souna AI answers them
| Question | Souna AI |
|---|---|
| Public gallery? | None. Not even an opt-in one. |
| Used for training? | Never. Prompts and results are never sold or used to train AI. |
| Records kept? | Prompt text is kept to keep the service safe and lawful, as the privacy policy states. |
| Delete? | One item or the whole account, any time, from inside the studio. |
| Business model? | Prepaid plans. No free tier, no ads, no auto-renewal. |
Private does not mean limited
A private studio can still be a capable one. In Souna AI you get photoreal, illustration and editorial image models, Souna's own Souna Lumen for finished images and Lumen Lite for fast drafts, plus editing tools to change a background or upscale. Every result goes to your Library, which you can open from any device.
A simple habit that protects you anywhere
- Read the training clause before you upload client or personal material.
- Check the default visibility of new images on the first day, not after a month.
- Delete what you do not need. Data that does not exist cannot leak.
